The Men Behind The Melody Of Samjhawan

'Samjhawan' is the newest romantic melody on the record and this song from the movie Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania has been composed by none other than the gen-y duo of brothers Toshi-Sharib, who not only compose beautiful music, but also have euphonious vocals.

Both Toshi and Sharib have participated in various reality shows. Toshi has individually been a part of Ustadon Ke Ustad, Jo Jeeta Wahi Superstar, Music Ka Maha Muqabla and Amul Star Voice Of India, in which he was one of the top 4 and both he and Sharib were a part of Saregamapa in 2005 and reached the final.
Sharib, who also shares the same talented gene as Toshi, is a great singer himself, having been a part of NDTV'S reality show Junoon-Kuch Kar Dikhayenge and Star Plus' Music Ka Maha Muqaabla.
For the love of music and their passion to make it big in the music industry, this duo of brothers left studying and got the glorious chance of showcasing their talent in the 2009 film Raaz - The Mystery Continues with the song 'Maahi', the tunes of which are still fresh in the listeners' minds.

2009 also gave this duo the opportunity to compose all the songs for two different films, Jail and Jashnn. In 2010, they gave harmonious music in film Phhir and in films Lanka and Ghost in 2011. The 2013 Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol starrer Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 had the peppy creations also by Toshi-Sharib. They also get the credit for the uber-romantic number of 2013, Kabhi Jo Baadal Barse (Jackpot). Not to mention, this year's go-to love song Samjhawan from the filmHumpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is also their contrivance, which has made them reach mountainous heights and gather accolades on the way. The party number from the same film, 'Saturday Saturday' has become the kick-starter for every affair.

As singers too Toshi and Sharib are garnering encomium and love from listeners and critics alike. Some of the songs sung by Toshi are 'Jaagein Hain Muddat Ke Baad' (Summer 2007), 'Nathani Utaro' (Horn OK Please), 'Maahi Maahi' (Raaz - The Mystery Continues), 'Aish Kar Le, Ishq Ka Hai' (Jashnn), 'Waqt Ki Dhoop' (Kissan), 'Vaada Raha' (Vaada Raha), 'Saiyyan Ve' (Jail), 'Seheri' (Oy!), 'Kanha Thumari' (Veer), 'Satrangi Saathiyan', 'Mahi Ve', 'Hum To Ho Chale Deewaney' (Phhir), 'Om Shanthi' (Om Shanthi), 'Lambi Judai' (Jannat), 'Tu Hai Tu (Qubool)' (Lanka), 'Jalwanuma' (Ghost), 'Thedi Varuven' (Tamil film Kadhal 2 Kalyanam), 'Kalma' (Will You Marry Me?), 'Sadi Daru Da Pani' (Yamla Pagla Deewana 2), 'Chikdanga' (Warning). Besides singing in films, 2013 also saw the release of Toshi-Sharib's albumFrench Kiss. Released by Times Music, this album got its desired success and according to the brothers, was made keeping in mind their fans abroad.
Sharib's belt has the following songs 'Jaagein Hain Muddat Ke Baad' (Summer 2007), 'Maahi - Rock With Me' (Raaz - The Mystery Continues), 'Saiyyan Ve' (Jail), 'Oru Thuli Vishamai' (Tamil film Ameerin Aadhi Bhagavan).
