Besides, the film has a very impressive tale of Gurudev and Victoria Ocampo, the Argentine writer and journalist whose impact made a drastic change in his life.
Gurudev and Victoria met only twice in their lifetime, but this graceful lady left such an everlasting impression on his life that he compiled a collection of poetry named Purabi and dedicated to Victoria in 1930. Tagore used to call Victoria as Bijoya and in his poems also he used the name Bijoya for Victoria.
Victoria was in awe of Gurudev’s work; they first met in 1924 when Tagore was travelling to Peru from Europe, but he had to stay in Buenos Aires for two months due to his health issues, and Victoria took care of him during his stay. After coming back from Argentina there was something which instigated Tagore a lot, and he started making paintings at the age of 60.
Victoria organized an exhibition of his paintings in Paris, and this happened to be the second and last meeting of their life. It has been told that it was Victoria only who inspired Gurudev to paint. Although there were hardly two meetings between them but the impression they left on each other was divine and everlasting.
The film will be made in three languages i.e. English, Spanish, and Bangla and will shoot in West Bengal, Argentina, and France.
