One of the most recognized theatrical and television actor, Hemant Pandey rose to fame as “Pandey Ji” in India’s most popular serials “Office Office”. Hemant Pandey got his first break in Delhi by an NGO for women and ever since he has been flooded with offers.

Hemant has been an all rounder in the industry with many theatre, television shows and movies to his credit. A few of his accomplishments are “Bandit Queen” (movie), “Krissh” (movie), “Sankat City” (movie), “Office Office” (TV show), “Mrs. Malinee Iyer” (TV show).

Hemant is now seen in a completely different image in NDTV Imagine's new soap “Neer Bhare Tere Naina – Devi” which commenced on 18th January. Describing this drastic change, Hemant reveals that getting work in the film industry was easy for him but he started to feel stagnant with his routine. “I feel my role in Devi is quite challenging and I’m actually enjoying working in a serial even though it’s a little tough”, he claims.

Hemant is playing the character of “Ghasita” who’s a common villager and like many in his village; he too is burdened by poverty. Being the sole bread-winner of the family, he does not think twice the moment he gets a chance to become rich even at the cost of his daughter Laxmi being exploited. He fools the villagers by projecting his daughter as a Devi and pockets the money he earns in the name of God. As the wealth starts pouring in, his stature in the village and his lifestyle changes. He starts believing that he is now the most powerful man of the village eventually becoming cunning, shrewd and greedy.
