Well known Malayalam heartthrob actor
Nishan Nanaiah is all set to pave his way through to the hearts of Bollywood
with film Badlapur Boys. He has played the role of a villager youth named Vijay
in the movie.
Talking about this Kabaddi based film
Badlapur Boys, Nishan says, "The film seems realistic in just a single
glance because all the characters are simple and true. It is a story about some
boys in a village who know nothing else but Kabaddi and who do nothing else but
play Kabaddi. They keep losing to other villages and are a laughing stock for
the people but they are too lost in the game to stop playing. And right with
this madness for the game, these boys do something that changes the history of
their village."
Nishan, who debuted in Malayalam film
Ritu in the year 2009, was a Tennis player in his University days and has now
played the role of a Kabaddi player. So, how was the experience of playing
Kabaddi in Badlapur Boys?
He says, "It was great fun, but
with its own share of bruises and injuries. We were trained by a professional
Kabaddi coach. I'm very hopeful that the audience will enjoy Badlapur Boys'
Kabaddi."
Having acted in Malayalam, Hindi,
Tamil and Telugu movies, Nishan's character in Badlapur Boys is that of a goody
two shoes, simple guy and in real life, too, he seems shy and reserved. Is it
the influence of his character or is he like that in real life? His answer to
this question is just a sincere smile.
Nishan completed his acting training
from Pune Film Institute and acted in his debut film Ritu, which was critically
acclaimed and won Nishan the award for best debut for the year 2009. His second
film Apoorvaragam (2010) was in theaters for 100 days.
Made by Karrm Movies, Badlapur Boys
has been produced by Satish Pillangwad and directed by Shailesh Verma. It
releases on 12th December.
